Any difference between E55 mufflers and E500 mufflers?

Any difference between E55 mufflers and E500 mufflers?
Thinking about purchasing a set of E55 mufflers to put on my E500. Other than the tips, is there another difference? Inlet tubing diameter, perhaps? Is there a difference in exhaust note? Just trying to figure out if I should just put tips on mine, or replace the whole mufflers.

It can be done. The inlet pipes are a little different, but any good machine shop can match it up. You will also need to shave the rear valiance to have the tips stick out. It is a good mod. you should be able to pick up a used set cheaper from one of the guys that are upgrading. Don't spend too much. You can also get aftermarket mufflers and have the tips added.

I know, I know.....
Can't afford both the E55 and lots of cocaine. I had to make a decision in life and I chose 302hp (X2) and snorting snow off of hookers asses.
