Automatic trunk motor broken
Hi all...I just posted another thread but wanted to separate this one as it is a different issue. I just purchased a 03' E55.....The automatic trunk motor doesnt work. It had been disconnected by the previous owner instead of being replaced.
I reconnected it and did some trouble shooting and all the conections work, however the motor itself that lifts and lowers the trunk is bad....it seems to be grinding a gear from within. Any idea where I may be able to get a replacement without paying dealer prices? Thanks again. -Steve
