SoCal Auto Loans... who does below 600 FICO?
Suggestions as to who would do used car loan for FICO under 600 in Southern Cali? Automated approval not preferred since they need to look at my report to see I am an ok credit risk.
Is it possible to get without going through a dealer?

i'm sure you can locate one. just dont be suprise if your interest rates be in the 16+ range. do a search online and fill out an app, once approved, they'll send you a check. just a suggestion, go to eloan.com or some service that offer loans from multiple banks. that way there are not too many inquiry into your credit. the more they run your credit, the worst your credit gets.
yes, you dont have to get a loan through the dealer. matter of fact, i never do... unless they have specials on rates.

That's what I'm scared of is the inquiries... I've recently become a credit score freak and getting a new report every day (signed up to a monthly subscription from truecredit.com). I knew I had a lot of inquiries because I went through about 5 cars and some other things in less than 2 years but damn.
I have such stupid **** on my report that is causing me to have such a low score that I don't find it acceptable so Im working on having them removed, already got a couple off; even got a mistake deleted from my report today so my score will be going up some points in the next couple days.
Any suggestions for local credit unions I can walk into and talk w/ someone? Don't want to chance an inquiry on e-loan because I know I am going to end up with 5 just from that one form.
