The problem is that when talking about mods, it depends on the level of modification. There are Supras that run from 7-13 second 1/4 miles. It just depends on the level of modification and the $ that was put into it. CylinderHead has a very nice Supra, I know he just got some more work done to it.

I've seen a few at e-town run in the 9's. Actually during one of the corvette events at e-town there was a class that if you ran higher than 10 you were disqualified.

Out Of Control!!
Interesting. I would like to see this car run another P-car. Will he be at MIR on 10/8/07. I believe there is a P-car in NY (Long Island) that runs 9s. I ran against him at E-town about a year and a half ago and he ran a 10.88. Since then he has upgraded to a EVO GT850 from a GT700 anbd I hear he runs 10.5 at 140.68. At least that is what his signature sayst. As rumors will be I heard that someone from EVO actually drove his car at E-town and got into the 9s.

Talk about "bringing a cannon to a gunfight"....
Those 996TT can be built to make alot of power.. not too many cars on the road will keep up with them... Although like someone else mentioned, there are a few tuners down south building 1200rwhp TT Vipers, so, there is always someone faster. If I am not mistaken, one of those TT Vipers broke an 8sec 1/4mile.. it was doing 163mph when it crossed the beams I believe..

Heffner is one of the tuners... http://www.heffnersperformance.com/twinturbosystems.htm . They and UGR go back and forth holding the title for fastest street legal viper.

I've been away for awhile but it's nice to know that a 996TT can still beat the S65...
It's good to know that they point out at the beginning of the race that there are 2 people in each car. It just wouldn't be fair if the S65 had only 1 cause then it's a different race altogether - right!
Did you see the car lengths the Porsche put on the diesel truck next to him!? I wonder if the big truck had 2 people in his rig?LOL!
