I am considering an 06 with less than 5k miles,when the owner started it up the left exhaust blew out some light smoke briefly-is that normal for these? Also the crank pulley is had an inordinate amount of surface rust compared to the rest of the pulleys..sees a bit odd but the car is flawless otherwise.

My '03 CL55 also puffs some smoke now and then. It still runs like a monster.

The rust on the pulley seems kinda' unusual. Is it in the belt area? If so, that might suggest the car has been sitting for a while.

If it's on the front surface (non contact) - who cares? I don't think that can have any impact on performance or reliability.
