Considering a E55. Another recent thread mentioned handling/steering upgrades from 04 to 06. Wondering what are the differences from 04 to 05 to 06 and is there anything significant enough to narrow my search to 05-06 or only 06? Thanks.

The cars built after NOV 2004 have different shock, different front control arm bushings, different steering rack, and different steering rack bushings.

All items can be installed on the older cars. I know Vic has out the steering rack in his 2004 and I have had a new set of shocks installed in my 2004 E55.

If you are looking for a perfect 2004 E55 with 33k miles let me know as mine is now up for sale. She has new tires (PS2), pads and rotors (all 4 corners), full factory warranty for 8 years total, ultra clean (can send photos), and cared for very well (all fluids changed including coolant, brake fluid, trans fluid and diff fluid etc).
