Finally got V1 and killed X-band. Should I kill K-Band. Most 'saves' in past have been Ka in California. Thanks

K is still used in some places,KA is the most popular from what Ive seen though.X is the one I'd like to get rid of.

I've never seen K used in California. CHP only uses Ka. There might be some rural cop that still has a K band, but i doubt it

Some city jurisdictions still use K, but Ka is by far the most common. It's laser you have to be worried about. Your V-1 probably will not save you from that.

I would leave the K band intact. I have few, if any false alarms on K band.

Very true,the laser is costly.

Are you high? I get at least 40 K band indications a day. Everything uses K these days. K is used ALL over California for automated traffic monitoring.

Yes, I still get a fair amount of K-band hits in LA area. I'll keep it on for now...guess anything to slow me down is a good thing.

I would leave X on as well, on my Passport some hits would show up as full X alert and it was a cop... no idea why, maybe a bug, or maybe it was X frequency.
My friends K40 would show up as K though at the same time -- weird.

I just get used to the sound and it keeps me from getting tickets.

Even if I kept X-band on, I'd end up ignoring it since there is SO much x-band alerts. k-band is fairly rampant in our(LA) area as well.
