Yup, I've seen gains on an '05, but NEVER on an '06 built in '06. In fact, I've never seen an '06 fully modded without CEL issues. I'm concerned that I will get into modding and run into an issue where the ECU won't allow me to get the true potential out.

And the saga continues......

Stay tuned. The entertainment factor is an 8 on a scale of 1 - 10.

Hey Buddy,

I thought that you were going to let this thread die.

HAHA!! I wish I could. Just enjoy the fun. Repeatedly messing up step one in a ten step program is just not a good sign.

Um...excuse me mr. Jangy. Are we going to have to have an intervention to keep you on tract and not falling off the 10 step program

Hey Jangy;
I'm considered a lurker on these forums but here's my 2 cents on these cars in terms of modding. First my condolences on the troubles you've had during even the simplest of mods....but whenever you decide to mod, it's a consequence everyone takes with their cars....gotta pay to play so to speak. But nevertheless, I'm glad everything seems to be ok and you're back on the saddle. But in terms of modding these cars, I personally wouldn't go too far on these cars....it'd be a smarter idea to pick up another car (I'm sure you know of the options) and spend less $$ on mods with far greater customization and results. And to respond to the original subject matter, I personally feel like I'm held hostage by the select few (of which all pretty much use powerchip) tuners for these cars in terms of tuning options and pricing. Good luck man.

Tama: the point is taken. I chose to mod the E55 and I will. I shopped for tuners and not shops. That was my mistake. I was dead set on RennTech, and just assumed that any RennTech dealer is ok. Now, I see that the relationship needs to be with the shop and let them have one with the tuners.

Don't feel too good for me, yet. The "dance", as Creative puts it, has only begun.

This is likely my last update for a while. I have found some interetsting things out in this past week and am now more certain than ever that it is time to move on. Thanks to everyone for the moral support and emails. It will get worked out one way or another. LOL @ 1000 hits on this thread.
We'll take this one step at a time. First step is my refund. I knew I shouldn't retract my harsh response until the check cleared. Man, the stories one hears in the middle of one of those bouncy events. Then, there are all the self damning text messages sent that let me know just the character that I am dealing with. Life is a matter of principle. You learn to let some things go, but a time comes when you take a stance. I'm there with this case. I won't get played by Creative and RennTech any longer. rennTech may wish they had nothing to do with this, but their continued support of Creative throughout this process is well documented and not appreciated.

Wish me luck and shop safely!!

Well, I finally have an update. Creative coughed up a couple of more checks to replace the one that bounced (twice). Note that this payment is simply a refund of the monies I paid and do not include any added damages that Creative's negligence caused (like bank fees, etc.) For now, it appears that rennTech is writing the incident off as a faulty install. As I said before, while I have an opinion on blame, I will let the courts decide that. The likely outcome is that RennTech will deflect the concerns to Creative, who will take it like a champ.
In either case, it is a matter of principle to me, so the law suite will move on.

I apologize to everyone that I have recommended RennTech or Creative to, even if your experience was not bad. I will still do what I can to get your particular situations fixed as I know other RennTech cars don't run as poorly as the ones that came through Creative.

I knew something about this deal would fall through, so I am glad that my lawyers have remained involved. Any perceived deals between RennTech / Creative and myself are fully null and void, due to Creative's inability to meet any of the preceeding milestones. Note that I say inability and not just refusal. As a matter of opinion, I feel that Creative is not capable of catering to a high end client and RennTech clearly does not perform adequate due diligence prior to establishing a distributorship. Again, just my opinion. LOL!!

Mods feel free to lock this thread. The mods will continue, just without RennTech or Creative's input.

As James @ Creative put it, let's "Dance".

He was quite the talker on the multitude of texts he sent. I will post some of the funnier ones as we move along. I was pretty irrate when he placed that ultimatum on me and also relieved in a way, since now I know what the path will be.
