Has anyone taken off their V8 KOMPRESSOR emblems off of their E55's fenders? Just wondering what this looked like?

 

Yep, i did it the first night i got it.

 

what method did you use?

 

In your opinion is it a cleaner look? I think it is going to look great but just wanted a push from someone who has done it. Oh and if you have any pics, I would love to see them.

 

I love mine with no badges. It is a whole different look.

 

Any tricks involved in leaving a good finish? Any holes to fill or are they stick on badges? Advice would be much appreciated.

 

I did it. No holes just stick ons.

 

I debadged my 63.I took a hairdryer&heated the badge up a bit to soften the adhesive.I then used a credit card to gently peel a corner away.Then I used some dental floss&gently used a sawing motion to remove the badges.
Before I did anything,I made sure the car was on level ground&with my tape measure took several measurements&took pictures so I had the exact dimensions in case I wanted to put them back on
It's not a 55,but you should get a taste for what it looks like from the pix

 

Blow dryer to heat up the badges, then i used dental floss to "saw" them off. I then used a little goo gone to get rid of the excess stick-on. Very simple really.

Looks good, but you know what, i like the new 6.3 side badge for some reason. I never liked the V8K badge as they looked out of place imho.

 

i am so anti debadging but i know its a preference. put steel wheels on it and itll REALLY be stealthy!!!

 

Yeah some normal looking wheels and take off the crome quad exhaust. Ole Gix couldn't you bring yourself to take off the rear AMG emblem? If you are getting undressed fellas take it all off.......

I agree with the V8k badge being out of place!

 

I like the AMG emblem.It confuses most people,then they assume I just put it there to be a poseur and laugh it off as a normal E-Class.

I did the opposite. I removed the E55 AMG badges on the trunk (if you know what you're looking for you dont need the badges)....


... and left the V8 KOMPRESSOR badges on the sides. You'd be surprised how many random people call bull**** at the red lights...


...and how every one of them got smoked...

Come to think of it, im like peter pan... but i fly lower

 

im gonna get some e350 badges and leave the rest on, maybe get a new amg badge and mount it wrong, should bring me some fun
