I just got an 04 E55 and it's got 50K mi. I'm noticing that when I'm accelerating and the car shifts from first to second there is kind of a pnuematic sound like compressed air is being vented just a little. I've only noticed it on the shift from first to second. I never use the manual shift and the car stays in sport mode. If it wasn't at the gear shift I would swear the supercharger was venting or something crazy like that. It really sounds alot like a really weak wastegate venting on a turbo car. This is not under hard acceleration by any measure, either. Has anyone encoutered this before? This car is a CPO and I can take it in if needed but I want to have an idea of what I'm dealing with. Any advice is appreciated. Thx

these cars have a natuaral kompressor chirp..
it at times can sound like a BOV.. but with out the (pSSSSSSS)
you alway will have some light pulley slip and as you increase your size of the crank pulley you will notice both the chirp and the slip even more.
