secondary cat and resonator removal on lease?
does anyone know what the policy is for doing exhaust work on these cars leased thru mb financial? i was thinking of removing the secondary cat and resonator to get this sweet sound

They have every right too inspect the car and charge you for the repairs back to stock.If they will do that is another question,but be prepared for it either way.

As soon as they hear the car they will know it's not right. Keep the parts to put them back on again or they will charge you for the parts and install.

I would replace the secondaries with high flow units instead of totally eliminating them. The reso can go! It's heavy as hell.

i know they can hear it but i will definately put them back at the end of the lease, but what about service? my service dept seems pretty cool and i dont think they would care much but is there something MB financial says that obligates them to report it or something? i just dont want to get slammed with some huge fee or some bs from them

As Jrocket said, the rules are clear. But, I have always returned my cars with the "sound" and never had an issue. then again, I typically return the car BEFORE the lease runs out, so it is more of a trade in. I'm AMG through and through, so they already know I'm a long termer.
