they are cutouts before the mufflers that you can open and close via a switch under the dash, when there closed the exhaust fumes go out through the mufflers (stock) when they are open the exhaust fumes exit before the mufflers (louder).

I would take a Mercedes factory warranty over 3rd party any day of the week, and the good thing about this car is that you still can!

Why would you go with a 3rd party warranty? I absolutely wouldnt waste my money on those, its like throwing money out the window because you will most likely have to foot the bill for the repairs anyways.

if your're gonna get warranty get Starmarked or nothing
you can work out a deal with the original owner like seller in this case, to purchase the extended MB warranty before he sells the car, win win situation imo
