Just to make it official, I'm attaching a few pics of my '08 Iridium Silver E63 that I picked up last Tuesday.
Have exactly 99 miles on the odo right now so haven't much time to properly enjoy it yet...

E63, SL 550 Sport,C63 Coupe On the Way!!
I got a curious question. Last week i saw a brand new 2008 E63 come off the transporter truck, white. It had this horrible star grill, the grill also had the blue star on the top and the front hood emblem. I didnt see if this was on the window sticker but it looked like hell. When i saw it the first thing i thought was all 2008 were coming this way as some sort of "08" update. Glad to see this is not the case.
Also heard you can get carbon fiber trim, it was not listed in the 08 catalog i saw.
Enjoy it let us know how the car is firsthand, mine is falling to pieces LOL

Hmmm...an interested party in the E36 M3...glad to share some info:
It's a '99 Estoril Blue, ordered it new so have had it since 11/98 when I was still living in Canada (Toronto area). Was my daily driver and driver's ed combo car for the first 4 years of its life. Ordered an E46 M3 and found out how heavy it was compared to the E36 and decided to just keep the E36 and make it a track car and got something else for daily driving duties.
It now has 76,000 miles on the odo and the engine is still very strong, internally untouched and all original...except for the mandatory water pump update.
It is half stripped inside and the moonroof has been removed and the panel welded shut; quick release steering wheel on adapter hub; rear seat removed and a 4-point half cage installed - the work here was done by Bimmerworld - sent the car down and back by Intercity Lines, great service BTW.
Before sending the car down, had the following work done locally here in NJ: Recaro Pole Position shells with 6-point Sabelt harness; all chassis, brake and suspension mounting and stress points reinforced with goodies from Turner; CF brake cooling ducts, Conforti Shark injector and intake kit - also all from Turner; Rogue Engineering exhaust, short shift kit and finned diff cover; and converted to studs on hubs for easy wheel changes at track.
Plan is to make it an I-prepared class BMW CCA club racer eventually...when I have the time. I'm ashamed to admit that it's been in storage all of this season with the trailer as I've had no time to have it on track or instruct at an HPDE event yet...maybe Watkins Glen in late September.
Whew...don't you now regret asking about that E36??

Right...should've included the options list:
P2
Pano roof
Parktronic
Electronic trunk closer
iPod integration
Rear side window blinds
And of course the all important bluetooth module - got the dealer to throw it in as part of the deal.

As for the CF trim, I think it may be available with the P30 AMG pack? The CL63 in the showroom at Prestige had the CF trim I think - I actually like the black birds eye maple trim.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, after only 99 miles total on the odo, 31 of which were there before I picked up the car, I can report that it's trouble free so far!

It's hard to buy a car in Bergen County WITHOUT stepping into a Prestige franchise: MB & BMW already mentioned, Land Rover, Lexus, Toyota, and Mini...and oh yeah, a Porsche store in Nanuet, NY!
