*Sway Bar Link/Shock Tower Mount issues?*
Im getting a familiar "clunk" (driver side rear) every now and then when I go over speed humps ... it sounds JUST like my old beloved E36 ///M3, when it had sway bar link or shock tower mount issues...
Just wondering if this is a common thing on a W211.

You will get a slight bump sound from the rear shocks when going over speed bumps or similar shaped bumps.
One thing that can and does happen to these cars is the rear sub frame rubber mounts break or the bolts shear off.Its not an everyday common problem,but it has happened to some here,myself being one of them.Also its more common in cars that frequent the drag strip more than others.Wheel hop and big HP is too blame from what Ive seen.Fixed under warranty at dealer.
