help!
Heh heh yeah I can use some help too. My scanguage used to connect just fine. But after a more recent ECU upgrade it stopped working and couldn't connect. If anyone can figure out how to fix this ... please let me know as well.

Well they said to try this ...
Check the OBDII connector in the vehicle. Sometimes the metal pin can be
pushed back into the connector. Make sure the wires are pushed into the
connector all the way.
Try connecting the plug at the ScanGaugeII end to the other connector on the ScanGaugeII.
Try bending the cable at the ScanGaugeII connector end and holding it for a
while to see if it connects.
Try forcing the CANFS (sic) (Ed. The mode is CANSF as CANFS does not exist) mode.
If none of this works, reset the ScanGaugeII using the USE DEFAULTS command and then try it.
I have tried this but no luck ... My battery is quite low though at mom and think it mbe limits ECU OBDII output when the car is n this "convenince features unavailable" mode... when the car is back to full batery strength I'lll try these remedies again.

I tried the Scangauge II, but it didn't work for me. I had to return it. I now have the Carchip E/X. It's good for data logging/monitoring IAT, timing, etc. No live data. It just captures the data (at 5 sec intervals) and logs it onto a memory bank which you can download off from to your PC.
It's plug and play (USB); just unplug from the ODBII port and connect the USB dongle to it and the graphs start magically appearing on your PC.

Hmm nice - although I like to see a real time gauge while I drive so I can get a sense of how things change while I drive...
Mbe Ill just use the Autoengenuity... and run some logs...
