Just got back from a exotic charity cruise with some of the M guys in attendance. I was riding shotgun in drivenagains CL600. He gave each of the M5/M6 guys the jump and walked them all down (these were from a high roll). I got video footage of him racing Jidex's M6, giving him the jump, and walking him up top. The myth of the M5/6 being unbeatable uptop has been shattered. His car is a friggin BEAST! He tore up everybody out there including a Gallardo Superlegerra (I think I got that on video too!) and all the other lambos!

LOL! Hey Dave, what's up? Speaking of M5 I met up with a guy today who has an M5 and his lease is coming up in a few months. he's thinking 997TT so since i'm such a nice guy I met up with him and found some great roads to drive on. He was very impressed with the TT. When we were done I drove his M5 on the same roads. I drove an M5 very briefly a couple of years ago. As most know, there is no low end compared to the TT and my memory of what my E55 had. The car however, feels MUCH lighter than it is and it does handle amazingly well. The SMG is also a lot of fun (when it's working).

It is a very nice car and if someone wanted to give me one I'd certainly find room for it. I've read some guys comparing it favorably to the 997TT in speed/handling and there is NO comparison. Even the owner of the M5 said it's a different world between the two cars - as well it should be as comparing a sedan to a sports car. There are some folks though who feel the M5 will beat anything.

Hey Chris,

I was thinking about you last night (and not in a sexual way) I got a call from my brother-in-law last evening and he wanted to stop by my house to show the family car nut (that's me) what he had picked up. Now remember................. this guy likes cars but he is not what I would consider an enthusiast.

So, I'm out washing my E when I hear this thunder rolling down the road. I look up..... and what do I see?????? A 997TT rolling down the street. Black on Black and looking wicked!!!! I spent the next two hrs. driving his car and explaining what this machine is capable of. I even had to go over the 2,000 mile break-in procedure with him. haha

The car was an auto and pretty much loaded with the exception of ceramic brakes. We already have some highway and track runs with the E planned.

He asked me a question that I could not answer. Do this cars come with bluetooth or is it even offered?

I guess 20 minutes, since the M6 probably wasn't "properly run-in", or, he wasn't in "M" mode, or, was in the wrong "shift-mode", or he had the car in "P400" mode.. or.. or..or......

L8Apex- No the CL600 is not stock. AMG ECU/TCU tune, exhaust, Volk wheels, and green filters. Thats it.

Sorry, I wasnt thinking. Plus I dont have your cell number. I called Carl and he didnt pick up. I might be up in Jersey for a car show in a couple weeks. I'll give you a heads up. Me and Jason also plan on making a trip up there when theres cooler whether and meet up with the infamous NY AMG crew I should have a few new tricks up my sleeve by then. Maybe we can set something up and lay another smack down on the M5/6 guys. Tell em to bring the best they have!

Dave, no BT from the factory. You can get it aftermarket thru the Denison i-pod integration kit. I believe BT is now available with that. I'm not into that stuff so don't know much about it.

I thought about black for a minute but chickened out! I"m sure it's beautiful but the 997Tt is just not that fun with a tip. The only way...
