Polk Audio sub install
Hehe, Jangy does his own install. Actually, I am waiting on my Reus drivers to arrive, so I rigged up this old box in the mean time. I don't have all the settings right, but the old driver still sounds pretty good.

Jangy, do you mind giving me some detailed info on how you hooked it up? I have all the components, just dont know where to get the leads, and signal for the amp.

I'd be happy to investigate and let you know. I used the power and input disconnects that Reus Setup. It was too easy. Starting fresh, you will need to do some wiring. I believe most audio shops will do this type of wiring for about $100. I know the power is straigt from the rear battery.

Bring that beast to FL after its "Reus"ified. We can go bangin' ghetto style together.
Please post pics of the install mang!
I'm still biased to JL Audio.

I did go with the 2 tens, BUT I chose the drivers with the best dynamic range. Instead, I listen mostly to hip hop and wanted something with more hit than just bass. Turning the gains up made the speakers blow, so I am getting new ones. I am choosing the "hip" hop version, but that may not be the optimal choice for all. The range on the first set was really nice. These style are more on / off. Just let Rick know what you listen to and he will hook it up. price is a little more for these subs, though. Considering everything, I would think he would upgrade you for free as long as you were in the initial group buy.

I would love an opportunity to hear a Reus system. Any FL members here that can help me out?
I envy you jangy.

On another note, does anyone know what the settings should be on a 2 channel amp that is being used to run this Polk? I have no clue how to tune it: Frequency, EQ, Gain 1, Gain 2. Any help??

Reus did at my request. I'm sort of torn. I love the hip hop setup when I am listening to it, but I love the full range at other times. Maybe I need two types? I dunno. They are replacing them with some that "hit" more.

I spoke to Rick a month ago and he mentioned the option of upgraded door speakers as well. I am very happy with the system but curiousity drives me to see how much better it can get.

Mine has the upgraded door speakers with the little boxes (I think the have mids in them), 2 center channels, and 2 10" subs. You can always go more, but the next step up is about $1000 more.
I hope to have the replacements in thsi week, so then I can re-install the box and go stealth again.

Jangy, I also have the Reus system from the group buy you set up. Thanks again BTW! I noticed that you have the cargo tray in pictures above. Does your stealth setup have the Reus subs sectioned off with a board and you cannot use the cargo tray? I'd like to put my cargo tray back in.

I just took out the box and put the tray back in and the box sits right in. It is really easy. Catch is that you can not pull out the cargo tray when the subs are mounted in place, since so much weight is on it.It will still lift up with the hatch door to the spare.
