didnt sounds right at all...the cls63 was not making any noise. and a kleeman e losing that bad? what is it with all these videos...too many variables undisclosed...or just a way to start bickering online....who knows

No that was a legit race. There's a video on the m5board with that same CLS63 racing the exact same car sans the E55. It was just those 2 racing and same results. C'mn no excuses. That M6 beat both cars outright. And that E55 beat the CLS63 pretty handily too. That M6 has approx. 500rwhp.

So it's not stock. 500 rwhp would put it in the 590-600 hp range.

No that car is definitely a K4 but it had some serious issues the poster of the vid at the M5 boards says. Legit race.

However they are to run again when the E is fixed and hopefully the weather and temperature will be alot more favorable.

You are right. ttm6 is well known on the m5board. His car is highly modded. Headers, exhaust, chip, pulley. But it does go to show that the M's do quite well with certain mods albeit it's more pricey than the AMG's.

The exact opposite happened to me when i raced an M6. My Stage 1 RENNtech E55 spanked an M6 by about two car lengths & he wasn't stock either.

I posted that there was a problem with the E55 look at my post above. Heat soak ,possible belt slippage and needs a clutch pack upgrade.

Clearly there was a problem with the Kleemann E55. It has trouble pulling on the stock CLS63. Not sure what Kleemann mods this car had, but this is the second time I have seen a Kleemann car get walked by an M6. WTF! Is there something wrong with these Kleemann cars. The day I get walked by an M like that is the day I sell my car...

Is that your car in the video! If it is, kudos to you. That is a very nice car. What does it run in the 1/4 mile (PM me)? I have been considering getting an M6, but only want one if I can mod it to run high 10s/ low 11s without NOS.

Same here but I've never seen a modded M6 produce anywhere near those numbers.

Yep. The fastest M5 I have seen ran the 1/4 mile in 11.581, which is only .269 seconds than what Enzom has run in a stock E55..

to tell you the truth the m6 lacks at a stand still unlike your e55. the problem is in launch mode it only revs the rpms to 1600 rpm and dumping the clutch. than it chirps and bogs down, taking some time to get going again. no car has enough power at that rpm to go ***** out, unless you have mad torque like the boosted amg cars.

there's a fix to that though, the european launch control which is standard in the UK revs the motor to 4000 rpm and then dumps the clutch, but doesn't burn through the tires, it modulates throttle and clutch giving it enough wheels spin, not too much making it a cosistant run.


so for me i feel at the track my car will grab and bog down a bit, but i'm planning on installing the UK version ecu "smg" which i feel will make a big difference in times. i will run to see the US version "time slips" and then install the UK SMG ECU to compare times.

even though my car runs great, at the track it will be a bit harder to run out of the whole. on the street it's ok because in launch mode it has enough power now that it burns through first gear and i adjust the throttle for good take offs.

as for the track i feel it will stick and at that 1600rpm it's going to be hard to pull off at the light like any amg car can. so time slips are unknown compared to a stock m6.

but i'll keep you guys posted when i do go to the track.
