E63/E55 Favoring & Reliability Issues

E63/E55 Favoring & Reliability Issues
I mentioned my intent on getting a E63 shortly but I wanted to know if it had any major problems as yet? I mean.. we all know the 55 IC pumps are crap (at least in the SL's), any similar issues with the new engines as yet?
Same with the E55. It seems like you guys all favor the E55 over the 63, but why?

The E55 is definitely faster. There are issues with the SC, etc. that are well documented here.
I haven't had a single issue with my 63, YET. There are some things that are documented here but nothing to be concerned with. The only worry is to get the right color and options. Enjoy!

Only miles will tell. we are just seing the 55Ks get up in miles enough to show some potential issues. The 63 is a new engine and drivetrain, so it will have issues. I say get it and enjoy. That is what warrantys are for and the 63 is a great car.

My service advisor told me the latest gen cars...including the 63's just don't come in for service like the old ones did. He concluded they have taken care of alot of the demons of the cars from a few years ago. Time will tell...but hopefully MB has the reliablility problem resolved.
