'07 Porsche 997TT
What's interesting is some of the jail sentences mentioned in the article. 5 months in jail for one guy who did 156mph??!! There are drunk drivers and violent criminals who get less!! LOL!!

If you think about it, for the time it takes a 997TT to reach 175mph, it would take a golf gti to reach 100mph or even an M5 to reach 60mph. My point is, he was not flat out for 20 miles trying to reach this speed and of course the car is built for it. If he does jail for this, there is no justice. Who has he physically harmed?

Don't have a Mercedes right now...
Driving at those speeds on every day roads endangers the lives of other motorists on the road. In Germany they have specially designed roads (autobahn) that don't have speed limits. Those roads are specifically designed for high speeds (cross-wind barriers, smooth surface, very small curves etc) plus people are very well aware of the speeds. However, on other roads they are very strict, I heart that they have speed cameras pretty much everywhere else and have steep fines.

07 CLS 63 09 GL550, 98 Honda Prelude, 08 Honda Civic...yes too many cars
The results of a crash at 100 or 175 will be the same, instant destruction. We have probably all hit over 100 so we can all be blamed for serious recklessness. We shouldnt judge this guy.

We just need bulldozers to clean out all the POS's in front of us so we can all hit 180MPH...or .50 CAL mounted under the spoiler to blast it out of the way ourselves.
