2006 E55 Wagon (RIP), 2019 E63S Wagon (Sold) 2023 AMG GT634S
Check the Snell Rating.
M is for motorcycle.
SA is for "special applications" - i.e. car racing.
the design and constructions of these helmets are different because the type of impact they may face is different.
Not sure how well the dragstrips check to see if you are wearing the proper helmet (roadcourse events usually have pretty strict tech inspection) - but - you should be getting an SA helmet if you are putting your car on the dragstrip.
Be safe and don't skimp - the old say goes - "Buy a $10 helmet only if you ahve a $10 head."

I like my Bell. It has an extra-large opening for sunglasses or goggles, and is very comfy.

Definitely get a SN-rated helmet. They are rated for multiple impacts, such as in a rollover accident where the passenger gets tossed around.
An M-rated helmet is basically rated for a single impact, such as a rider hitting a car or the ground.

with that said, my favorite helmet is suomy. they're bsi and eu rated, which is better than snell as far as many are concerned, but they won't get you on to an nhra track.
