S211 AMG
With numbers this low it begs the question why does MB bother? With Audi and BMW not having having a competing product in the US it leaves them with the spoils. At less that 200 total sales over two years it seems hardly worth it.

Two years ago I was one the waiting list for the RS4 which never came. Today there still isn't anything out there that will come close to the performance and lux that our wagons have. There will be a day when I have to move on and so I hope MB continues to see value in supplying the US espically if the E63 gets TT'd. If not, could this make our cars eventually rise in value?

Oh, and I have not seen another 55 or 63 wagon either.

Well, Wolfie and I are talking at dinner and I mention this thread about no one ever seeing either a 63 or 55 wagon on the road and he tells me he saw a white E63T on Fallbrook in West Hills about a week ago.

2005 E55 WAGON, 2007 Z06
Sent an email to AMG. this is what came back. If the #193 total posted eariler are true there are #170 2005's and only #23 2006 E55 wagons.
Below is the email i received from Mercedes.

Thank you for your recent email inquiry.

Unfortunately, we do not have information on the number of units produced for import to the U. S.for Model Year 2005. However, the number imported to the United States for Model Year 2006 was 23 units.

Mr. Chesrown, we hope you find this information helpful and appreciate your interest in Mercedes-Benz.

Sincerely,

holy cow.......ok, so I know I am one ......that leaves 22 other cars in the total US....how many are on this board?

this mean I'm going to have to put it in the garage for 25 years and write it off as a collector car..........not sure if I have that much self control

2007 SL550 - Aegean Blue; 2008 E63 Wagon - Iridium Silver
It's neat that they are so rare, but they are driver's cars. You have to keep driving it and enjoy it. I will admit that I am attempting to keep my usually high mileage down in my car, driving my SL more, to keep my E63 fresh for as long as I can. What a car.

Hmm...don't know where she got her info, but I got my numbers from the official AMG site - it's posted (on mercedes-amg.com/private lounge) under a General Information thread. They did claim it was an "estimate" but that's a pretty big jump from 64 to 23. Could she have confused model year with calendar year? Oh, well. Either way it's pretty rare indeed.
