Evosport Rotors owners! Give me feedback!

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about purchasing the Evosport lighweight floating rotors, stainless steel brake lines and pagid brake pads for my SL55.

E55 owners with these rotors, I know there are a lot of you guys with these rotors. Please tell me how you like them!

How are your brakes now compared to stock? Is it worth it? A big difference?

Thanks.

I have a set of the "new" style and love them. They aren't even on the car, yet. I'm matching them up with porterfields, but I've heard great things about the pagid as well.

For the money, the EVOs are the best replacement out.

Jangy...the shop is installing the Evo rotors tomorrow. I'm going with the porterfield pads, too. For good measure I'm going with the stainless steel brake lines and Superblue brake fluid.

PS...I'm having the calipers powdercoated black w/ silver AMG lettering. I'll post pics of the Evo/porterfield pads/goodridge brakelines as they get put on...

Sunny55...I'll let you know about the performance of the brakes once the Beast is back from it's homage to Steve Austin...

Well, im assuming if I order now, I'll be getting the "new" style as well. But what exactly do you mean by "new" style? Aren't they just floating rotors that are either cross drilled or slotted, or both?

For the money, this seems like a great choice. I feel like it's a bit steep for rotors, but they do save a lot of weight, and it certainly looks good. I'm saving about 34 lbs in unsprung weight on 4 corners, thats a huge plus to me.

The Porterfields are not that bad, but I have heard from a few enthusiasts that they are loud. I've had great experience with Pagid blue and orange, on various cars. I love them, but they can be pricey.

The first run I believe had holes drilled too close to the edge.
The second and newer runs were corrected which prevented the slight chance of premature cracking.
From what I remember...

The new generation is a new design. It happens to have both cross drilled and slotted, or just slotted. I do not know if the rotors are the same as before.
