Ethics of the Beast
I certainly enjoy the power of our cars. Most of my speeding is done on the highway or two lane roads. I am always very cautious when lanes are ending or construction zones as you never know what people will do and what is the need to speed in those circumstances anyway?
Of course, I'm not going to crucify someone on how they drive (until they hit me) but restraint should be used in certain circumstances.

I saw it done a few weekends ago. An M3 and Bentley GT were "coasting" at 140 and blew past a CHP and he caught up. No tickets (11-99 FTW!!).
Think about it this way, it only takes a number of seconds to get up to speed and even if he was only going 150, he'd be netting 10mph on the fellas. It ain't that much room to make up. I'm not too scared to sit on the side of the road and chase a car that goes by at 140

.I saw a video where a Porsche outran a helicopter. It was pretty cool, but of course, the guy got off on an exit and once he was on the side streets he got nailed.
Gime' a break...who hasn't done 110? I regularly do that, and even though it *looks* like a big number, the reality of it is that there are usually several cars next to me, in front of me, and on my tail who are cruising along at about the same rate or maybe just a little bit slower. Here in FL, unless there's traffic, everyone drives 90 anyway, so it's really not a big differential at all.
The stoplight right-turn lane is a totally douchey thing to do... That's just plain rude, since you're inevitably going to be holding up everybody who wants to turn right while you wait for the light to change. Quit that crap.
As to the highway gap-shooting, that's a toss-up and it depends on the situation. If someone is being a left-lane-vigilante and trying to "teach you a lesson" by holding you behind them when you really want to be around them, then ya, just go for it...screw 'em, they deserved it. Same goes if you are in the right lane, and every time a gap opens you notice the ***** next to you flooring it so you can't get over. People like that are infantile and should be in the right lane going 70, not trying to play cop by holding everyone else back, so let them have it.
But if it's just some grandma cruising along and you're going to be taking up her 20ft or 30ft worth of braking distance, then no...that's a rude thing to do. Everybody needs enough space to respond properly if the line of traffic in front of them slams on the brakes, and you don't want to start butting into that space.
Other than that, enjoy your car. Everyone here has, at some point or another, done the same stuff. I have owned fast cars and slow cars, and when making the slow-to-fast switch it's pretty entertaining at first but the novelty eventually wears off. You will get used to the car and then you will find yourself cruising along normally again.
Also, invest in a radar detector. Doesn't matter what you're driving, it will come in handy.
#2 If you speed excessively in the absence of traffic and only endanger yourself, I see no harm in this. Although, you should have seen the cop that pulled me over in one of my AMGs on a Saturday morning for doing 130 in a 65 and then slowing down to the speed limit when I finally came up on traffic after it took him a mile to catch up to me on a motorcycle. Completely safe in terms of not endangering others but I was VERY lucky I didn't go to jail and have my car towed. I left with a 14 point ticket and only kept my license because the officer acted like a total horses **** and I kept my composure so the DA threw out 6 of those 14 points. The moral is that whenever you are speeding excessively (for whatever reason), you risk your license. So do as you will but be safe. If I was driving my other car which was far from a 4 door sedan and was bright red, I would have gone to jail so the AMG saved my butt!
