masking to paint (pic of wheel)
ok...so here is the question. if i am masking something that already has paint on it....can i use electrical tape to mask it? the reason i ask this is that there a lot of curves on the item i am masking so i need a tape that is semi flexible. masking tape won't allow me to bend it around the curves and would require cutting which would most likely make for lines that are not as clean. will electrical tape work...or does anyone have any suggestions?

Go to a Autobody Supply shop, and get 3M "Fineline" Tape. It's about an 1/8" Thick,
Then get the Autobody grade 3M masking tape and finish with that taping It on top of the fine line. You can dipple it to make it curve... The Fineline tape will have the perfect edge you will see.

Why would I be mad? I have seen people try taping and painting and what happens when the paint bleeds over. I got into lots of repairs when I had my Gixxer, so i was just agreeing. Usually, having the right tool is key.

jangy..was just poking fun at you...i am bored...can you tell?
as far as what i am painting...well...long story....but see the pic...i need to redo the wheels. the guy who powder coated the wheels did a 8 out 10 tape job and it shows up close...from far looks amazing. so i had him sand blast it down...powder coat it all black and will have the silver painted on this time. and i want it 10 out of 10.
