Is it possible to buy a spare ECU from Mercedes and have it flashed so that both the original and the spare could be interchanged? I haven't seen anyone talk about this, so I'm guessing there is a reason it can't be done or it is too expensive.

 

Yes it is. I looked into this once. I don't remember the exact number but I believe it was around $1700.00 .
