This thread is hilarious.. Why are you guys so shocked? Have you seen a modded E55 run against a modded M5? If not check out my videos.. Now think about a modded E55 running against a stock M5. I think that is what you are looking at in the video. The further the race, the more distance the E55 will put on the M5. Oh and if it is 61 degrees outside, add a few more car lengths..
Not shocked at all, it's actually what i would expect from a race like that. It's just funny to see this video compared to Gustav's video where the K4 E55 is "killed" by a stock M6.

TTP seem to have an interesting intercooler mod ... what is that bent shaped thing and where would it go inside the bumper?

If anything, I would be a buyer, not a seller.
This guy with his prolong runs of 50kph to 300+kph may never face the heat issues of US drivers with their short, repetitive fast acceleration/slowdown runs.
Once this guy accelerates to 320+kph and he gets there fast, what can you do?

When I first looked at these video's I liked the simplicity, good spirit and light humor that these guy's shared, as in this video where driver pretends to be bored:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0uz5...elated&search=
None of the cheap BS and theatrics put out by the G clown from M5board.
These videos can be enjoyed without the need of posting them on M5 board.

one more obvious thing i'll add is when you race cars like these from a dig...the distance in these videos is doubled! in fact, the beating is so bad, the m cars will give up long before the 200kph mark let alone 300kph.

Well your right
It is only so much i mean you cant really compare these two cars. The only reason why the M5 was winning before is that its gearing but that can only go too far. but never seen this much kick @$$ sorry
And then I saw your videos too

Well I guess Im the only one here that cant understand how a car with a pulley, headers and ecu tune can pull so hard on an M6 and in the end be a half mile ahead.Oh well.

Anyone else notice that this guys odometer is reading 127,000km ~ 80K miles. Wow. That must be one of the highest miles I've seen on a V8 Komp engine yet. Lets hope they all get that strong w/ that kind of milage..

have you not run any m cars? your car is sufficiently modded so that your results should be relatively similar against a stock m.

i believe that car is at least a stage 4+ but probably more. if i undserstood correctly it at least has pulley, headers/exhaust, cooling, intake, and ecu.

Porsche 996 (300Hp) Powered Boxster/ Audi A6 Station Wagon
TTP, I know very well these guys and specialy the owner Mr. Pietz , a wonderful man to talk about cars and specialy modifications in Porsche cars which is their main goal.
Back in 1998 I had a Boxster which they pick up and installed their first generation single Turbo system. At time the litle 2.5L Turbo Boxster was making 290Hp, with a short 5 speed gearbox and 1280Kg you can imagine the fun I had in Germany beating the 996 Carrera in accelaration. The face those 996 guys made after being beaten badly by a suposed lousy underpowered (engine had 204 HP from stock) Boxster was priceless. Back in 1998 there were no E55 or 500hp M5, not even the 996 Turbo, so 290Hp from a 1280Kg car , at time, was alot of power to play with.
They had Turbo system for almost any Porsche, and for those Porsche who were already turbo charger they had also crazy power system to offer.
In the passed Gemballa cars used their Turbo systems alot, and they participate many times on the Tuner Grand Prix made by famous German Sport Auto magazine.
They stand behind their work, i had a turbo failure already after the warranty period and Pietz sent me a new Turbo charger with no questions asked. Unforntunately my sweety Turbo Boxster blown the engine 45000Km after the turbo installation. At time it´s wasn´t a suprise to me I have to confess.
So if this E555 was modify by Pietz, i believe it must has some real power under the bonet. Even so I´m amazed to see these videos, and again i say that in order to a E55 beat a M5 like that, it has to have at least 700Hp under the bonet and with the mods listed here, doesn´t seem this car has 700Hp.
I can make a phone call tomorrow, speak to pietz and ask him about the mods he has for E55.

Sick videos, BTW.... I certainly hope the E55's were not only pulley + ECU. I'd hang myself and burn my car if that's indeed the case.
I only had one race (yes, agree w/ J.... almost no M5's wants to play) and I could not eat the M5 like the vids show.... but I don't know whether the M5 I raced was stock either...

I did the same. Maybe if enough of us email the guy, he'll respond.
Sure would like to know what she is running under the hood.
Would be nice to see that car matched up with Gustav. We harass Gus enough, I bet we could get him to make it happen.
If Gus's car beats that sucker, I will confess that the even in modded form M6 > E55. That would be a close one for sure.

I think that strange looking part goes on top of the intercooler radiator to make sure all the air goes through the radiator and not around (over the top?) at these speeds its probably even more important to prevent heat soak
