Havent been on the boards here in awhile, but wanted to post my timeslips from Island Dragway tonite.
Temps in the 50's,clean air,35psi front&back stock Conti's,ESP off,lights turned yellow& throttle went to the floor.First pass of the nite was a 12.343@113.70 w/a 1.855 short time.Next 2 passes I screwed around w tire psi&kept ESP on;ran back to back 12.5s w a crappy 60' time.Mph was too low for my liking.
I was very impressed w the E.T. considering my E55 ran consistent 12.60's but was horrible to 60' w the stock Contis as well;mph was 115-116.I figured 12.80's from the 63,but when the chick handed me my slip I was shocked.Apparently the crowd was as well from the reactions I got when I pulled in to check tire psi
Juicee, how do I rank out of all the 63's????I'm too tired to check the threads..

You have the fastest actual time ever. I think we have a few cars trapping higher, your 60ft is 2nd or 3rd best.

2.12.41
3.12.41
4.12.43

You gotta get back there man and run a 12.29 LOL...looks like you can do it! Do you remember your oil temp ? Did you let the car cool prior to the 12.34? How on earth did you launch...Any mods at all? Spare removal anything?

Its very fun.
You can win cash, just enter pick what you think your car will run and run closest to your time w/o running faster and you win!
The dial is written on the outside of your car and you race against the time not the other car . Closest w/o going faster wins. The tree is programmed so each car leaves based on the dial they choose.
Your time say 13.21@110.77 vs 12.15@114.27.
you would wanna run 13.211@110.771, LOL and yepp the pros get within a 1000th of the time. You wanna cause the faster car to break out which mean they are DQ. Its a great time and yes you can lose to really slow cars. I lost once to a 108hp station wagon. LOL guy was money in picking his times

The 12.34 pass was a baseline run with NO alterations from how I drive the car everyday.I had to remove the baby-seat from the back for safety reasons, thats the only thing that I removed. The spare tire, tool kit,etc all stayed in the car.I did the ECU reset in the staging lanes.
I did my burnout w ESP off, clicked the shifter into 1st gear in "S" mode at the line,ESP still de-activated.I launched as I saw the last yellow light up.I launched at idle.No loading the trans or anything.I had the slightest hint of wheelspin according to my friend but was barely noticeable in the drivers seat.
The car just hooked&went.Of course it friggin short-shifted into 2nd gear, but did chirp&shifted very hard.
I checked tire psi after that run & fronts were 30psi&rears were 30psi as well.I dropped the rears to 28 but went 12.5's and the 60' times increased to 1.97.The last run I kept the ESP activated and got a 1.87 short time and another 12.5 but the mph was now 112.Car temp was the same.
I would like to make another trip in the next week or so,but after the 12.34 pass I was ready to call it a day as I knew that was the best pass of the nite.We just hung out for another hr spectating&watching people drone around the de-badged E63 wondering what the hell it was.Ther were only a handful of cars that ran under 12 seconds, fastest being a new Mustang w a 427 stuffed into it.He ran 11.2's@128mph
A brand spanking new Shelby GT500 w temp tags(and full-on slicks) was barely breaking 12.60's.I followed him out on the way home to see if he wanted to run on the hiway but he wasnt game as he had his kids in the back seat. That would have been a fun run.
There you have it Juicee63.BONE STOCK,even the tires had the stock air that came from Germany
Doesnt get any stock-er then that.

temp guage said 99c,on the return road it was up to 108.The 12.34 pass was the first of the nite,I paid at the gate, got my tech card, drove to tech&I came straight from tech& got in the staging lanes.I literally came off the hiway, paid my entry fee&was down the track 10 minutes later. No cooling off whatsoever.Outside temp was 49degrees.

Try Dyno mode next time to attempt to eliminate that 6200 shift point. after reading this your car likely has .2 left in her and a few mph . your launch sounds great I am concerned with that 6200 shift, I KNOW YOUR CAR WILL RUN FASTER with a 6800 plus shift. I would set your stock baseline at 12.19@115. This should be attainable just by running in DYNO MODE. Dam impressive , I was wondering what happened and hoping to the good Lord your car was not another 55 posing as a 63!! LOL Go DAV had me re-writting the record to a 12.2 a few weeks ago ..
Great freakin run man, and I am sure you gained alot of respect for the beast and thats HUGE 4 me and the others.
Please get the run on Drag times to complete our very accurate list going. Zax and Sean, Xabo, Venom you guys have some real work to do. Venom has the highest stock trap at 115.XX (highest of our group)Uncorrected , LOL.

But if I remember correctly, putting the car in dyno mode could cause it to lock in one gear(until dyno mode is de-activated) as chiromikey said?Or is that just on non-63 cars where the ESP is defeatable?
I had mentioned this to anthony d,as he was my pit crew, but I decided against it.
Maybe that will help the shift points.I swear my cars tranny will not adapt&shift closer to 7000rpm like yours does after you "trained it"

dyno will not cause any probs as long as you have traction your good
Its fun to try it. You can do it now and see if the car still shifts early. The car is MUCH MORE fun to drive!!
Greg went from 13@108 to 12.7@113 in 3 weeks, same car same track, more aggressive driving
