Door "sill" felt molding protector.. Anyone know where I could buy one??
Those who transport their family/kids with their E55's will understand.. Its simply painful watching my 4 year old daughter climb in and out of my car. We usually use my wifes explorer which is a lease, and Im not concerned about. when we take my E55, I would like to purchase some type of protector for that area.. Anyone know where I could buy such an item??

I was thinking about that, but worried it would leave behind adhesive, upon removal. And make more of a mess than its worth.. I know foy my Z06. A company(mid america) makes sill protectors that are molded for that specific car.. They just slide on, no adhesive.. Wondering if any MB supplier makes such an item.. Im guessing no, based on the response..

I would look into a roll of that clear adhesive film that dealers put down on carpets to keep them clean. Then, you could cut some off, lay it down where you need it, and it removes without residue. And as it does wear, just pull it off and reapply new. I think the stuff comes in like 500 ft. rolls, plenty for a lease term to have fresh whenever you need it.

I saw this picture that suggests that such a thing does exist:

I've got a tan interior in my E63, and those felt sills get /filthy/ quickly. Any ideas where these things come from?
