Quick phone question

CAn I just pick up a V60 phone on ebay and put my sim card in it and find out where the phone cradle is located and I'll be in business?
THis is in an 03 E55?
I've tried a search but this is still confusing to me!

Went through this with my c-class.

The v60 is old-school...no sim cards....proprietary ESN ties 1-phone to 1-line only. And, you don't wana carry a v60 as your primary...no color screen = no picture messages, no camera, etc, so basically you'd have to have a dedicated line to run your car phone unless you just get the bluetooth module.

Sorry.

yeah the v60 old school. if you live in the USA only the V60s will work. I had to upgrade my cradle to use the V60s. However I must say I'm very happy with it. however I rarely carry my phone with me. I just leave it in the car.

Another thing about the V60 - I got the teleaide upgrade and now my phone reception is terrible when the phone is docked in the car. If you have a CDMA V60 it win't interface well with the new digital teleaid unit. In 2003/2004 E55's the phone and teleaid are one unit.

I'm looking for a solution. You can get bluetooth modules for $380 and then use another phone but there is no cradle to charge the phone in the car. I never take the phone out of the car and want to leave it there to charge.

So I guess the answer is to get a cradle and add a BT puck!

I don't know if bluetooth is any better, I have bluetooth and a Motorola KRZR and sometimes it works great, sometimes it takes forever to sync up and sometimes it just won't sync up.
