My only concern is IF i do the cams i might as well do the heads also so that i don't have to keep taking the engine apart and two seperate labor invoices. I see what you're saying but i'm just thinking if i'm going to do this i might as well do both. I'll stop by one of these days and check out your shop.

It's winter up here (weather wise) in the Rocky/Wasatch mountains so the storms come pretty frequently.

Will try just as soon as I can to get out and get her in. 2 storms planned for this week, then Christmas next week. Gonna be rough, but I will do what I can.

Sorry bout the delay. I have Toyo 888's on the rear so there is ZERO traction in snow. I gotta be careful.

When we went through the development of the grind , We had to look at what was in the market . I had to look at the piston Dish depth, squish bands , Block Deck Height. Our market target was then set to the AMG M-113 V-8 5.5 ,Kompressor, and N/A 11 to 1 motors. So The Answer is YES IT will Fit without any Issues. These Cams tend to like some small amount of additional Fuel, So it works perfectly, because our car engine are already slightly rich, in the upper RPM band. . Happy Hoildays From ___PTE___

I am posting this question here and also in a couple of other forums. I am in the process of replacing the head gasket on a M113.980 and I need to know what size the socket is for the CAM sprocket (E18 or E20) and I also need to know what size for the oil filter to the front cover bolt the one inside the oil filter housing is it a 40mm or what?

Anyone know what size for the oil filter housing? Does the cam bridge need to be removed or can it be left inplace when removing the head?

You should remove the cam bridge. It will be easier the rear head bolts. It can be done with out removing , the cam but it is a pain in the a$$. either way use should use the cam timing fixture plates, and set the #1 one piston at 40* atdc. Have fun ___PTE___

The oil filter housing is 46mm or 1 and 13/16. In case someone else has to do this job.
