AMG guys in Miami

Did any of you deal with The Collection in Coral Gables when buying your E55/63.

Are they reliable? Good to their word?

Any feedback much appreciated.

The Collection is not an authorized MB dealer.

Good point. My bad.

What I meant to say was have any of you E55/63 guys dealt with this dealer buying a P-car etc or have any of your friends? If so, let me know what the experience was like.

1979 my employer won law suit over a 928 Porsche.
Car was paid in full at time of order.
At delivery they tried to add some extra fees...
Went to court and.......
That little maneuver cost them $5000.00
That was when the De Maria family owned it.
Don't know how they are now, but I never went back.

I bought my GT2 from them used. >2000 miles. I got an OK deal and they certified the car on their dime. All my service work is done at Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota. That is where I have bought all my new Porsches. They are the BEST to deal with.

No, it's where I'm going to put down another deposit on the 2009 RS6 as they say they will not charge over MSRP. I'll need to pony up $1.5k to have it trucked over but that's no concern for a c.$130k car that dealers in SoCal are likley doing to be trying to make up their yearly profit margin on.

PM sent, by the way.

Thanks ofr the responses. The W211 E AMG forum is always a hive of helpfulness

I have heard mixed reviews about the Collection, and since they are not a MB official dealer, i would not buy a used MB from them. Some dud'e Porsche was cracshed when he had ni it for service and they never properly repaired it, bis lawsuit followed on that one. I find that the further North in Florida you go the betteer the service & price.

Real Cars
Carl,

Every article I have read has indicated the new RS6 will not be hitting US shores, what makes you so confident that it will?

Marcus,

I have had two dealers say that they are almost positive the sedan will come. Also, my friend (former Ferrari NOA East boss) says that his contacts at AoA say it will come. I have two seperate deposits that have been accepted. Remember, most magazines like to guess so if they're corrct they can crow about it. If they're wrong, it never gets mentioned. Every rag said the car would put down 530-550ps and it ended up putting out 580ps. They also said it would be a 5.2 not the 5liter that was unveiled at Frankfurt.

Of course, I am not 100%, but I am 95% and so it seems are the clued in dealers. f the worst comes to the worst, a Cayenne Turbo or new M3 coupe won't be a bad option.

Kwaobus- I'm sorry to hear about your friend's experience. my reason for going to this dealer is they have a policy not to charge over MSRP. Once I have the car I will not dela with them again as I'm on the west coast. Also, they cannot overcharge me as I will order from the audi brochures. Of course, if they try any funny business I shall walk away.
