Just got back a few minutes ago and I need to head back down to feed the kids or my wife will kill me. Quick update.
We had a great time. Started running at about 11:00. Track was dry from the get-go but cold for a little bit. I left at about 4:45
I did not break my record. I think my best was an 11.834 @ 118 and change. Yesterday's rain left the launching area very unfriendly to street tires. So the 1.71's and 1.72's that I regularly hit last time down there were not to be seen today. I caught a couple of high 1.7's, but I did not dead-hook a single run. Most 60' times were in the high 1.8's and 1.9's.
There were a couple of record runs. MACHC5's CLK63 Black series ran impressively at 12.1 at 117 plus like clockwork. It sounds AMAZING. And another 63 record was set. But I will let the holder make his announcement.

I had my best run of 12.006 at 116ish 1.79 60 ft time.
Then i had a left front blowout in between runs. so my day was cut short.. oh well at least i didnt run out of Gas

I was very impressed with all the AMG cars that ran today with Enzom going 11.8's to most others going low 12's and on their street tires...
I think I mentioned to Bob that in 1968 I ran a 66' Chevy II in C/Modified Production at ATCO during Saturday night competion... and it's average was 12.4's at 115 mph. That car had a 4:88 rear and dual quad holley carbs on a cross-ram intake, 355 CI with open headers and 7" wide M&H slicks.

And if you weighed 155 lbs like me, it would have been an 11.9 run for sure. So sorry about your tire.
For the record, Hardware looks like he could play linebacker.
