Auto Enginuity Usage?

Just picked up the Auto Enginuity set-up and was playing with it a bit tonight. Are their any advanced users on the board?

I'm thinking I'd like to sample the output voltage on all four O2 senssors next time my car is on the dyno, but I'm not sure how that can be used to equate to air fuel readings. Anyone know?

Also, I'd be curious as to what other parameters users are logging during dyno runs besides IAT?

So far, seems like a pretty useful tool and Auto Enginuity is planning to release enhanced Benz capabilites in 1st quarter of 2009, which means you'll be able to access data from MB specific sensors and control units, not just the generic OBD II stuff.

Well the voltage range is 0-.09 volts and they should try to maintain .4 to .6 but they only really trim the fuel mixture and don't really provide the overall A/F ratio. Still would be interesting to log the data during a dyno.

A year ago someone quoted them as saying late in Q3, early Q4 of this year for the MB module.

I spoke with them in the spring and they backed off those dates by a year into '08. Now your latest info delays it further ... I think a trend may be developing.

It might help if all of us that own one send them an e-mail expressing some level of impatience because there are other tools out there. Maybe some motivation from a larger group will help.

Edit: I sent them a note:
Guys,
Any chance of getting the Mercedes module advanced in the production schedule?

Without the update, your tool is nice but not really impressive.

When I originally bought it (v. 4.1 I think) the Mercedes module was said to be 12 to 15 months away ... it appears that nothing has changed on that timeline except 15 to 18 months has passed.

Is there any chance of improving the schedule? There's a pretty decent base of MB enthusiasts out there.

Mike

Yes, my info was from an email exchange yesterday. What are some other low cost options out there that have more robust Mercedes functionality?

I can't say that I'm aware of any.
Having said that, they're working on software updates for other manufacturers, if we express concern with the delay they might see more of an MB market and put some resources on it.

Just got a response from Autoenginuity that says MB module sometime in '09 - no specific release time by quarter, only '09.
Volvo comes first.
