Hey all,

I've never leased a car in my life. Always payed cash. I'm contemplating leasing my next car and was wondering if anyone can tell me if there's a general formula for what a lease will cost for a car of a given price.

For example, let's say (purely hypothetically) I wanted to lease one of these new Audi R8 things. They go for what, $110k? What would monthly payments be on a car like this? Assume 2-3 year lease, 12k/year I guess.

Even general numbers would help, I just have no clue

I'd be shocked if you were able to find an R8 to lease.
They're getting sticker + 5 figures to sell the 200 (I think) cars coming to the USA.

Why would a dealer lease?
