chirping sound coming from the engine??

Chirp & Hesitation issue
I found that the "chirp" is actually from the tension pulley, that is connected to the S/C, being briefly pressed against the nut that screws it's mount to the S/C. My mechanic said the spring inside the tension pulley has gotten weak and when you slightly or aggressively press on the accelerator the spring in the tension pulley isn't strong enough to keep the pulley wheel from briefly rubbing on that nut - thus creating a chirp.
...unless I have a completely different problem. Open your hood, remove the plastic cover and look at that pulley while a friend hits the accelerator a few times and you'll see it.
I just purchased a new tension pulley to replace it - maybe it'll fix it, but sounds like it is a persistent problem. I'm open for input - this is just the information I have found on my E55.
Now, can someone riddle me this?? -
I am noticing that I have hesitation in 1st gear, then there seems to be a sudden jolt or power dump (not a shift to 2nd gear) in 1st gear. That is in C mode. When I drive in M mode it doesn't do that. Any ideas?

I have an 06 and still get the chirp. If I change the SC belt, the chirp goes away for a little while, but eventually comes back...

I can hear a chirp sound when i accelerate. It seems to be coming from the supercharger. Is this normal? i took the car to the dealership for service today, they replaced the ic pump but said the chirping sound was normal. It seems a little weird though....
It only comes at low speeds when i sort of hit the gas.
What do you guys think?
Should i go back and continue complaining or is this really normal?
