I have a CPOed '03 with 21K on the clock that is about 4 months out of the full warranty and have noticed a crack in the clear coat on the ashtray cover wood trim and one on the passenger door panel.
Anyone think that there is any chance of getting MB to cover these under good will or some angle like that? The car is in mint condition with an otherwise pristine interior so it is not abuse related.
Thoughts? Help?
The panels are easy enough to replace they are just expensive to buy. Thought about going CF but I liked the anthracite burled wood.
Thanks in advance as I couldn't turn much up with a search.

Out Of Control!!
Did you do it or did it crack on its own? If on its own (sun, whatever), then heck yeah they will fix it. Those parts are not that expensive. The entire kit is. I agree with considering CF as a replacement.

Technically it is only covered under the bumper to bumper warranty which ran out 4 months ago (I have 22K miles) so I am now into my remaining 3 years of CPO.
I was hoping there is a good angle for getting this covered.
