I can't speek for them, but I know that these MB ecus love about 13. They usually start out around 15 and dump to 10 at about 5K rpm. Here, it looks like he was able to keep it at 11 until well into the high 5ks, so I'm very curious to see how the top end is. the graph looks great up there. That is where everyone else has failed, EVEN with a mid sized pulley. This is with a 178 (I measured), so there is even more to compensate for PLUS it is a legit '06 built in '06!!

Don't worry, I will be tracking it. Vadim is planning to get more datalog data and the track is a great spot for that.
The proof in this exercise is in the dyno graph. The fact that Vadim and Powerchip have shown us that they can manipulate an '06 / '06 is a huge portion of the battle. Now that Jeremy knows the E55 mapping and Vadim is even more aware of all the real data, it is simply a matter of literally custom tuning to each owner's desire. That is a big deal, when you are looking at $2500 out the door, no?

More data:
The graph above illustrates the importance of tuning.
Green is what happened when we installed 175 mm pulley on a stock car with air-pump recall software. As you can see TQ limiting software did not want to tolerate any additional boost and even went beyong, by losing addition 30HP.
Blue is when TQ limiting is raised with stock sofware parameters.
Red is with tuning - additional timing and less fuel.
In the end, after more than four weeks of tuning, we have reached our goal.

Thanks!
Both Vadim & I are detail oriented which is why we've always gotten along over the years.
Rewind back to mid December when I was in California..... This all started when Vadim, Jangy, the PC boys and I were sitting having a bite and a beer and we threw out the idea of doing a tune on Jangy's 2006.. To which Jangy replied "2006 cars dont make any more power with a tune".. That was all it took...
We told him we were up to the challenge if he would be gracious enough to be the guinea pig and we promised to put his car back to stock if it didnt work with no cost to him.
Jangy brought his car back and forth from San Diego to Costa Mesa quite a few times all in the name of science (good 2.5hrs each way with Cali traffic.. lol..) so you can thank him for being brave enough to participate.. Although he was in the best of hands...
4 weeks later, we've got a perfectly safe and reliable tune that makes great power and you can't ask for more bang for the buck than a $2,500 pulley + ECU combo that makes 465rwhp and 512rwtq.

Thanks Vadim & Victor, and to some degree Finny,This thread is the most informative, "air pump flash" post, I have seen. After reading all the accounts of the dreaded FLASH and how some had problems and some did not, your efforts on the dyno and knowledge are making the effects of the flash much clearer. Your work and expertise explains many claims that modded cars suffered more than stock cars. Now that you guys are uncovering the secrets to rejuvenating the 55 post flash, you guys deserve a big ATTA BOY

Wait... just so that I understand this correctly... The stock 06 models were actually hampered by adding a pulley? What about other pre 06 years? With other tuners, are their Stage I (Tune and Pulley) packages actually reduced HP from stock as well? I know, I know, get a post tune dyno (in my case), but I'm still curious before I do that. Thanks.

Different cars responded differently to the air pump recall.. My car suffered by it really badly.. The 2003 cars (based on my experience) showed VERY poor dyno numbers.. I couldnt spin my tires at all from a dead stop after the recall was done. It also could not be reversed.. I had to get my ECU flashed back to a stock program we had on file, and then reflash with the modified program.
Thank God we kept my stock ECU flash before messing with it.
The 04 - 05 cars recovered better from the post-recall flash.. they actually didnt suffer a huge power loss like my car did (from what I understand).
The 2005 model 55 cars are the FASTEST ones out there.. They dyno 15 - 20rwhp HIGHER than all the other cars.
The 2006 cars that were built in 2006 are the only ones I know of that have the built-in load limiters that kill power if they see more than 12psi boost. This is when the campaign started by the auto manufacturers to try and thwart the aftermarket tuners from re-programming the ECUs.

Thanks John!! Vadim and the PC team put ALOT of effort into this..
Robert, Yes.. You will be #1.. And what better hands than Sunil to take good care of you & your car.
I will arrange to get you a pulley and I'll see what we can work out so we can "upgrade" you to the VR550 tune. Let me talk to the PC guys in the morning.

Very very true. I had an '05 at the time and was deciding between an '06 or waiting on the '07 63 (I am not allowed to leave MB). Finny's '03 was one of the cars I kept a keen eye on, along with a particular '06. Thanks to everyone who has fed into the topic and I'm sure we are just getting to the start of things.

I could not have said it better myself. The open and cooperative conversation that night sparked much for me. I've known for years that Vadim is trustworthy with AMGs, and VRUS has established himself (including what few dealings we have had in the past). What i didn't know about was Powerchip. I had heard that Jeremy was pretty cool over there, so I walked in and just starting asking him all kinds of technical questions. He was straight up with me on everything. We get to dinner and I did say that no one had "shown" it "YET", but I also said that it could be done IF someone put the resources into it. They stepped up and said that I could jump back to stock whenever I was unhappy. VRP (Vadim) kept me in the loop on everything being done and the progress being made and I got to go hang out at a sweet shop with some killer toys (Nobel, SL65, etc.). Deciding to participate was a no-brainer. Deciding when to stop is the tough one.
