Bought a preowned MB with CPO time left from a non-MB dealer??
NOTE * If you buy a CPO card from a private owner, all of this is not necessary *
Call ahead of time to a MB dealer to just inquire before you start the process, they will give you the in-service date and the amount of time left on warranty.
You then need to locate the 2 CPO transfer cards that are located in the CPO pamphlet that should be with your books. Fill 1 out accordingly and tell them all about you and mail it.
Locate the (I) information button, press it and call up MB and let them know you just purchased this car and would like to give them your Info, they will put you in the system as the owner and when they get the CPO card you'll already be in there as the owner and they make you the permanent owner on record for dealer service work.
Go to the dealer ~2 weeks after mailing card and confirm the date your warranty expires, you can see your name in a non-changeable form. The Dealer can change the owner's name in the local system but not the national system. To get service work completed, both names must jive.

Look for book & send the card in, what's the worse thing that can happen?
