Although I'm a fan of P cars, not crazy about the looks of the Panamera. Performance may compete with the AMG cars if they put a turbo in it.

Some of the spyshots are downright ugly and others are OK...anybody have a clue on the probable spyshot that is going into production?

I ordered it like half a year back and Im also getting kind of worried with all the ugly spy shots, but the performance should be great. I love my Cayenne Turbo more than any car Ive driven, really good cars......

another sad try and Porsche getting into another market. The 911 and Boxster/Cayman are worthy cars but the Cayenne is the biggest loser for resale and now Porsche thinks they need to compete with AMG/M/RS cars.

I'd consider it if the Panamera arrives when my lease ends.
I'm not a big fan of the Cayenne but have driven a Turbo and I must say, it is the best DRIVING SUV I've ever experienced. It was too small for us so didn't get it, but the driving characteristics were top notch.
I'd expect the same of the Panamera, styling may be suspect but I'd give it the benefit of the doubt until the production version is seen, but driving the car ought to be a superb experience and that could tip the balance for me.

I think Porsche is right to diversify the model line-up but not so much they dilute thr brand. How many 911 deriviatives can you sell?
Porsche will always stand for the 911 to me. The Cayman and Boxter are reaching another segment of people....so is the suv. Sedan-coupes have become all the rage but Porscge should stay true to itself imo.
That said, I do like the car.
