Cheapest place to buy ASP pulley???
I am ready to pull the trigger on a pulley for my e55 and was wondering who has the cheapest deal out there? I think from my research that the ASP pulley setup is the cheapest by far
I know it's a welded pulley and there is definetly better quality pieces out there, but for the money and the lack of complaints on ASP's product.... it seems to be the best bang for the buck. I know I am gonna have to do a bigger h/e and johnson cm90 pump soon, but figure since its below freezing right now and isn't gonna be hot temps till spring that I can get away with a little fun for a while with the stock h/e and pump
I have seen a couple ads for $799 or sumthin for the ASP. Is there a supporting vendor on here that has any specials or better pricing? I have looked around for used too, but seem to be late on the deal or just cannot find one. Thanks for the help......

if you have a 'daily driver' and can put the E55 down for a few weeks...
call ASP and send them your pulley.. they should only charge you like $300 to $400 to add the bigger ring.
this is the cheapest route.
But if you have $1k.. I would try VRP or any used big brand pulley, (K, R or E)

just from exprience i have found that the OEM pulley rubber dampener, seems to break down over time, not sure if it has anything to do with the hardsh canadian weather, or engine heat...

I did a bunch of research on this and the JDM lessons showed that MB's style is NOT the type to use. All of these other ones that are coming out were developed on the other cars. They aren't new designs. I got bashed for saying it, but it is true. Even RennTech went to a different dampening, when they couldn't release a larger pulley.
