Jrocket is a straight up dude and a friend. Ling has been in touch with his wife. Modest dude didn't want the news let out, but I think it's fine. I think he was to have surgery on his neck. He was fiesty about it, so that is good to see. We are all here for him and his family. Friggin must be a scary feeling getting hit and thrown 300 feet!!

He has responded nicely to the operation and is now in recovery. He's been in and out of consciousness but is fully aware of what's going on including asking about his car after he first woke up. 
He should be out of the ICU in the next day or two and should be home within the week but the Mrs. will know more tomorrow after consulting with the doctors in the morning. She's had a very long last two days and is relieved/glad everything is moving towards a full recovery. She and John appreciates everyone's support and he'll have plenty of time on the forums after he's back home.

Indeed. I hope John didn't mind me posting this info. I just wanted to allow his MB World family to keep him in their thoughts/prayers in light of the tragedy.
