Sweet spot for SC belt tensioner?
Where does everyone think is the sweet spot location for the tensioner?
There is about 2 -3 inches of room for travel and I was wondering where everyone's belt sits. Facing the engine, the tensioner in the left side indicates a shorter belt and higher tension, whereas the right side is longer belt and less tension. I know I don't want it all the way to the "left", because I want some room to absorb belt stretch. But, I'm starting to think that pushing the envelope towards that side will help with belt slip.
Again, give your tensioner positions as a percentage of travel frm the left side (when facing the motor). Also, please note what size pulley your have.
