Code 3 Performance upgrade HE results...
As many of you guys know, the 55k motor is a heat magnet, and it is definitely one of the weak links in the car. I figured I was having the usual "heat" soak problem while stock, I should take care of that issue first before adding even more heat (power) to the motor later down the road.
Brandon @ Code 3 and I had exchanged quite a few emails on his upgraded HE's that he was offering. He told me that on the 2003 W211 55K, he offered the regular upgraded HE and he also offered one with a bigger core. I figured why not and pulled the trigger on the bigger core. Everything went smoothly and I received my core about a week later. While all this was happening, I figured I would also opt for the upgraded Johnson pump. So I had bought it online and had it came right about the same time the HE came in. We set up a time where he came over to my house and both installed it in the garage.
We had also gone out before the install to do some data logging on the stock HE and compare it to the upgraded one later on.
Before:

After the data logging we came back, had it installed and went out again to get the after data. Here it is...
After:

As you can see, there is a world of difference in the IAT's and since then I have never had the SC shut off on me again. I just wanted to post these 2 charts for yall to see and talk about. Big thumbs up to Brian over @ Code 3 Performance.
FYI: My exhaust mod is a resonator delete and borla race muffler.

looks like you were running too hot before the upgrades.. as mentioned, probably a bad pump.
210 ITA's will result in power loss.
But after the upprade.. you can clearly see how the larger unit keeps the ITA's on check.. and even if you decide to run strong.. the power will be there.
Brandon is also working on a split system.
