Honostly, I don't know how accurate these numbers are? I've never gotten less than 14 mpg driving in city. In general, I average 16 to 17 mpg in city and 20 to 22 mpg on freeway

My S63 shows single digits very often in slow city driving. First day I had it i was dumbfounded when I saw that my 30 mile drive home from the VPC in Carson gave me an average of 9.8 mpg (with a good deal of freeway driving).

These cars get pretty bad fuel economy!

I get about 14 in the city and this is San Francisco driving at that, and about 20-21 on freeway. I think that's pretty decent?

Yeah... now I'm pretty much aligned w/ the EPA numbers, except the "highway" number... never got 19... LOL.

Does this mean I'm not a heavy footer after all?

ouch; painful

When I drive like a normal humanoid, on the highway I can get up to 23mpg (this is at 60mph)

In town, 15'ish is the average

with my pulley and FMIC set up... only around 21.xxx mgp at best.. Stock I was doing 22 to 23.

depending on my tire inflation and tire compound.

around town 14's to 15 max

check your tire pressure and check your filters.

If you drive over 80.. MPG is bye bye.. 15 to 17

if you stay around 70.. you should get 18's to 20 after 10 minutes of driving.

also.. reset you MPG reader once you actually start driving.. not when you warm up the car. If you leave the car running idle for a few minutes.. your MPG will read 6 to 8 MPGs.

Yes. Anytime you have the car sit then start it the mpg figure goes to that moment sitting at a light or in your garage or driveway sucks the gas.

I have achieved 26mpg on the freeway and 8.0mpg on the drag strip. car is a 15-16 average , but you can do much better. drive in C and put a tennis ball under the accelerator pedal

good point regarding tire pressure; I meant to mention that I tend to err on the high-psi side: I have 4psi more than recommended on the gas refill door placard, typically 40'ish up front and 44 on the rear
