Very nice looking car!
07 - 08's are not going for $65 - more like $70 - $75 for the 2007s.
I think low 60's is more than a fair price (would be $65 if CPO'd). You should be able to get that. I paid $58K for a CPO 2005 with every option and 22K on the clock. Love it!

ok thats fine. continue to wait and hold onto it for 65k.
just giving u some advice.
in 6 months you wont even get 55k for it.
if you can find a buyer for 60-65k more power to you, but i for one have seen numerous cars for much less and 07-08 cars in the 60s.

The CPOed 2005 car for $48K is REALLY hard to believe with what you said. That is below ebay prices for a CPO car....what dealership? I just dont buy that without proof. Not saying you are lying but maybe it was a 2004 and not a 2005? That would do it...even then for $48K for a CPO car that is low price.

not through a dealership. a friend of ours in southern CA bought it from a dealership in the summer for 56k i think? but ended up getting a Porsche turbo soon after, whereas the dealership offered 46k back for the car as a tradein, so he sold it to my brother private party for 48k. i believe the CPO transfers over?
anyhow, thats the story on that one.

ah ok that makes sense. yea if i was go back they would prob give me $48K - $50K for the car. but thats even if you buy any car - new or used in this price range. its the hit you take. but thanks for the info.
by the way, i have heard that the CPO does not transfer over if the car is sold private party...not 100% sure though

Dont listen to this low ball crap. Hold out and get what you want. I have not seen any 07-08 cars for the 60's but what do I know. Its a bad car and a rare color just wait for the right buyer to come along.

This forum could possibly benefit from a "no harassing the seller" rule in the classifieds. If you don't like the price, leave the thread. This isn't the first time valid sales threads have been cluttered by "my buddy's great aunt's step-brother got a CPO'd SL65 for $40k with 900 miles on it" type of comments.
This is what I'm used to on another large forum:
e55 killer -- good luck with the sale. Sounds like a beautiful car, low miles, and CPO.

The value of the car is in the eye of the buyer and seller. Neither of which seem to exist in this thread. Everyone else is pretty much the peanut gallery at this point.
Good luck with the sale. White w/pano E55's are very hard to come by.

Fair enough. We all have our own opinions on proper conduct in forums. I prefer people error on the side of respect and not clutter a sale thread or subvert the sellers asking price with stories of cheaper cars. If it's too much, the market will tell him. On that note, I'll quit contributing to the clutter. We can discuss in another thread.

OP:
I'd suggest you part out your car... I'm estimating you'd get at least $5-6K from all of your mods. This would bring your asking price down to around $59K. I'm sure it'd be a lot easier to sell (avoid people thinking that you drove the car to the limit)... I'd guess you could still get around $55-57K for such a low miles and loaded car. May be more if you're patient. Just remember it only takes one right person to come...
Just like when I was selling my C55 8 months ago.... I asked $41K and some people here PM'd me for ridiculous price ($32-33K). I was luckier my thread didn't get craps like you Took me about a month or 2 until the right buyer came. He bought it for $39.5K. Did he buy too high? May be... but he got his jaw dropped when seeing the condition my car was in.
2005E55AMGLOL: Dude, just move on... or buy the car from your brother. $48K for '05 CPO car was a killer deal... I'm sure if the seller did trade the car in, the dealer would've asked at least high 50's w/ mid-50's their bottom line price. So don't expect to see a lot of that kind of deal... it's an opportunity of a lifetime.

zoink and others - thank yoU! I am not crazy after all.
$48K for a CPO car 05 with all options and low miles is too good to be true! I did my reserach before i bought mine. I paid $58K for a 2005 CPO car with failry low miles and ALL the options.
The white E55 with pano is amazing ( i have silver with pano and love it just as much). You should be able to get your asking price if you hold off. Or part it out if you want like someone said. That may not be a bad idea either.
Or keep it! They are amazing cars.

You should contact JRocket, he was looking for a white E55 with pano roof. Lately, he suffered a terrible accident and I'm not sure if he is still interested, but it is definately worth a try
