Dead Battery?
Hey guys! So I go out to the garage to crank up the beast today (after 4 days) and the key won't engage. At first I thought it was the key battery but after talking to MB they said that the battery is only necessary for the power doors and should not create an issue where the key will not engage. So I go back and then realize i've got no interior light on, no dash, nothing. The car was working great the last time I drove it and now its dead. Obviously the battery is drained but no idea how. I leave the lights on "auto" and all the doors were closed so no chance of an interior light being the culprit. Road side is on the way to jump me. Anyone have their battery replaced at less than 2yrs?
Suggestions?
Anybody else have this happen to them?

What ever you do.........DO NOT JUMP START IT they have to do a flash to your ecu to check if you fry any electronic after. just call road side assistant and they will bring you a new battery if you are under warranty. my car was in there for 3 day, just for jump starting on my own.

He usually recharged the battery using portable recharger for like about 3 minutes and then restarted the car.
He told me that if this happens again in the near future, he will bring a new battery for free under warranty.

I've jump started the E two times since I left the damn manual fog lights on after the monsoon Los Angeles rains. (we beat seattle this month).

I bet you have keyless go? I killed my battery the first week I had the car. If you open the drivers door before you shut off the motor the power stays on with KG. Always make sure the motor is off before opening the door.

I let my car sit for a few days when I blew out 2 tires and was waiting for my new wheels. Battery was dead, and key wouldn't engage either. I jumped it (trunk battery), and everything is/was fine.
