Not sure it will do much for the track other than spin the tires. And get ready to roughin your every day driving also from what I understand.

Nobody has ever really tested it at the track. The only bad feedback I have heard is that the tires spin too much and it is hard to modulate. The truth is that you shouldn't be modulating anyways or you have lost traction. A good launch is solid all the way through. I will definitely test it out the next track session. I like it around town, but haven't decided about the track.
One thing i like about it with the larger pulley is that it almost compensates (maybe mental) for the lag that gets exagerated.

Girl, you gotta slow down. Haha!!! Our system is electronic. the sprintbooster works by modifying the signal that comes out of the throttle. Rumor also has it that it sends slight blips to the system, keeping it primed. All of this is from a lag that we notice when giving gas from no gas.

Everything you just said is french to me

Yup, there are lots of us on here. Well, french is better than other things. For now, I'd say don't get it. Once you've put some miles on your ride, you'll know the "lag" that we talk about. I was always a non-believer in the sprint booster, until bezorama sent me his to try out. Now, my car is being tuned so it is out for now but I'll definitely try it again. In the mean time, I'd be happy to let you try it out if you wanna drop by one of the shops I hit up in OC. LA is a bit far for me and I'm sort of scared to mail it to you . Actually, the install is easy. If you want i can mail it.

If you really plan to mod it, make a plan. Decide exactly what you want from the mods. Are you after cosmetic or performance? If performance, power or handling? All that crap. I also dunno what your mod history is. You may wanna start slow (wheels and lowering), then maybe a pulley and tune. At that point you can decide if you are looney or not. Pm me if you want stuff and I'll get you the best price and quality. Vadim at VRP is great! I also love the guys over at Harbor Motorsports. Between the two, you can get most things done right.

Check this out, white paper written by someone testing what SB really does. It looks like it is really just an expensive signal amp. Anyone with an electrical engineering degree want to try and build one?
Test was done by a MB owner with a R170 SLK.
