Battery Light On Dash!!!!!!

I getting a check engine light displaying a RED BATTERY.I keep taking it in to the dealer and they have changed the battery and connectors, but the red battery keep appearing when i go on long trips.....two to three hours of contineous driving and the red battery light appears.....around town driving no problem.I have the heavy duty pump wired to the small battery and believe
that this may be draining the battery.Has anyone here had this experience? If so what was the fix.

I have the same thing going on except it is on all the time. When this problem first started i noticed that the keyless go and the keyless entry stopped working. If u find a solution or an answer please let me know. I have not had a chance to have it looked at.

There is a recall on the seat modules for some cars.. I know there are some people that have experienced the seat motors not turning off and draining the battery while being parked overnight.

Get to a dealer and have them run a FULL SYSTEM TEST in STAR DAS. It will go through all the modules and check for faults.

If the faults dont show up, ask them to check for the seat control module recall.. i dont know the exact name for the bulletin but it has something to do with the seats.

So the seats are supposed to make alternating noises after shutting off the car? I tried to nap in there and heard noise for about 5 mins, that eventually disappeared or I dozed off.

junk
very easy fix. had auxillary lights wired to small battery under plastic cover on upper left side of engine compartment and battery light would come on after half hour of lights on. mbz said there is a dedicated empty plug in fuse block. have them wire it there so it taps into the central electrical system.

Maybe the alternator or voltage regulator module? See attachment.

I'm going to guess the alternator voltage regulator, even though it was replaced under a campaign, may be faulty again. I have seen a handful of the campaign regulators fail within a year.

you can`t wire anything to the aux battery, it is only charged for a short time after starting depending on battery voltage, if drive on a long trip the battery discharges below the allowed voltage and will turn the light on
