CLK63 Black Series steering wheel installed successfully
Well, I have an 05 E55 and I read through the previous posts which indicated that it should work if I have the updated electronics. Since I have the updated center console, I decided to go for it and order the wheel from the seller on Ebay. Great service from Age tuning. The wheel arrived in a week and it is the real deal. I just got it installed at Curry's in VA for a reasonable price. I wanted to confirm once again that it is definitely plug-in-play in the 05 if you have the updated electronics. I had to pull the trigger because I couldn't stand the skinny steering wheel that comes with the E55.
I feel like I'm driving a new beast!!!

Looks good. Too easy. Congratulations on a good look! Thought of changing the wood grain. Just a thought. An even cheaper mod for a much improved look. Each to their own but I think your 55 deserves it!

New Wheel (including paddles) + new airbag + shipping + install = $1600
Definitely not a cheap modification but something you really enjoy the benefits of every time you drive the car since it is the steering wheel. I was thinking of just getting the E63 steering wheel since it was substantially cheaper but I decided to go all out since I don't believe I will be selling this car anytime soon.
